In direct service work we often work with clients who are stuck or trapped in complicated emotional and social situations which often lead them to feel overwhelmed, helpless and scared. We may not be able to turn these difficulties around in the short run. Clients are then faced with having to hang on and weather through whatever adversity comes their way or sink under the strain. This workshop will provide practical tools that front-line workers can use to help their clients stabilize and regain a sense of self-control and self-efficacy as they navigate these challenges. more>>
